How to Use
STEP 1: Peel back foil to reveal upper and lower trays.
STEP 2: Position upper tray on teeth and bite firmly, then suck tray to teeth for two seconds.
STEP 3: Repeat process for the lower tray. Wear for 30 minutes.
STEP 4: Afterwards, remove trays, rinse, and brush gel from teeth. Do not swallow rinsed gel. Repeat once a day for seven days.
Do not use if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to the listed ingredients. If allergic reaction is observed, rinse exposed area thoroughly with water and consult a physician.
Routine dental examinations are recommended prior to use.
Pregnant or nursing women and users with serious health concerns should consult their health care provider prior to treatment.

Avoid whitening gel contact with any soft tissue, including eyes. If gel contacts soft tissue, rinse the contacted area immediately and seek medical assistance if needed.
Some users may experience temporary discomfort of the gums, lips, throat, tongue, or teeth. Use of Opal™ by Opalescence® Sensitivity Relief Toothpaste is recommended both before and after whitening. Should any of these symptoms persist or worsen after discontinuing use, contact your dentist. These side effects will usually subside within 1–3 days after discontinuing use.
Ingestion of small amounts of gel during use is expected. If large amounts of gel are ingested, drink large amounts of water and contact your healthcare provider. If gel is aspirated, seek immediate medical attention.
Do not eat, drink, smoke, or use tobacco products while whitening trays are in place.
Do not wear whitening trays while sleeping.
Stop whitening 7–10 days prior to any dental appointment.

What is the difference between Opal™ Classic Prefilled Whitening Trays and Opal™ Gentle Prefilled Whitening Trays?
Our Gentle formula contains a lower hydrogen peroxide content (only 6%) compared to our Classic formula (11%), making it perfect for even the most sensitive smiles. If you’re concerned about sensitivity but still looking to safely brighten your smile, our Gentle Prefilled Whitening trays are made especially for you!
Are Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays the same as Opalescence Go™ Prefilled Whitening Trays?
No. While both Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays and Opalescence Go™ Prefilled Whitening Trays are very effective at whitening teeth, they have a few key differences.
Only available through your dentist, Opalescence Go™ Prefilled Whitening Trays are professional grade trays containing potassium nitrate and fluoride to provide extra comfort.
Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays feature two formula strengths: Classic (11% hydrogen peroxide) and Original (6% hydrogen peroxide) to suit your comfort level, and can be easily ordered online for convenient, at-home teeth whitening.
Do Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays provide the same results as professional whitening treatments?
Many people notice quick, visible results—up to 4-5 shades whiter1—after using Opal™ by Opalescence® Prefilled Whitening Trays. That being said, everyone responds differently to teeth whitening treatments and everyone’s teeth whiten at different rates. Some stains are easier to treat than others. Yellow or brown teeth are easier to whiten than gray-ish teeth. Even age can impact the rate at which your teeth whiten! If in doubt, we recommend you visit your dentist for a pre-whitening consultation, so that they can help you make the right choice.
Do I need to see my dentist before I use Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays?
No. However, if you have pre-existing sensitivity when it comes to your teeth, we recommend consulting your dentist before using any teeth whitening products.
Do I need impressions or molds to use Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays?
Not at all! Opal™ by Opalescence® Prefilled Whitening Trays use the heat from your mouth to conform to your teeth for a perfect fit that keeps you comfortable while you brighten your smile.
Can I reuse my Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays with Whitening Gel Refills?
No. Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays are designed for one-time use. Once you’ve finished brightening your smile with your trays, go ahead and discard them.
Do I need to brush my teeth before I use Opal™ Prefilled Whitening Trays?
We recommend giving your teeth a quick scrub with Opal™ by Opalescence® Original or Sensitivity Relief Toothpaste after using your prefilled whitening trays.
Can I use Opal™ teeth whitening products with crowns, veneers, fillings or other dental work?
Yes! It’s safe to use our teeth whitening products on both natural and unnatural tooth surfaces. Our unique formulations will not affect the color or shade of a crown, veneer, implant, filling or tooth restoration. But, you can use our products to whiten your natural teeth to better match your dental work.
If you are whitening your teeth before a bonding procedure, talk to your dentist. We recommend avoiding any whitening treatments for 7–10 days before a bonding procedure.2-4
